A product called Bugs for Bugs that we utilise at Harvest the Fleurieu to combat insects for destroying the strawberry crops.
Bugs for Bugs, a biological control agent we utilise to defend crops against predators.

Integrated pest management (IPM) is an environmentally sensitive way of managing pests which is one of the biggest challenges we face on our farm, in the strawberry patch especially. This process involves releasing predator, or beneficial, bugs into the crop to eat the larva of the invasive, pest bugs that would otherwise damage the flower or fruit of our crops. By spreading these “good bugs” throughout our season we are significantly reducing the need to use pesticides, while promoting safe & sustainable crop protection.

Bugs for bugs is one of Australia’s leading suppliers of biological control agents and has been providing crop protection solution and bio-control organisms for over 30 years. For more information on the IPM program or to find out more about Bugs for Bugs you can visit their website
